More stock building
With Y happily settled at school (he's only on his second day but so far so good!), I'm having to settle into a new morning routine myself and I'm hoping to free at least one morning (out of 3) for sewing.. Christmas is just round the corner (chocolates have already started appearing in the shops!) and so is the school Christmas fair - plus I have received a couple of orders (my first!!) from friends so I need to get sewing!!
Another stack of tissue cases for the fair..
And what better container for them than my new M&S tin? I love it!

Cross stitching..
It must be about 20 years since I've done any cross stitch! And then the other day I was aimlessly browsing Etsy and happened to see some really sweet cross stitch patterns. I had everything I needed so here we are.. I don't enjoy this as much as I do sewing but then it's something to do while watching TV - soon to be replaced by crochet I'm sure, once I get into it!
Coming soon.. some penguins for a penguin obsessed little Y.

Book swap
"A boat washes up on the shore of a remote lighthouse keeper's island. It holds a dead man and a crying baby. The only two islanders, Tom and his wife Izzy, are about to make a devastating decision.
They break the rules and follow their hearts. What happens next will break yours."
At a loss as to which book to buy to take on holiday, I chose this one purely based on Amazon customer reviews and it turned out to be one of my favourite summer reads - totally compelling and totally heartbreaking..
If you think you'd like to read it, let me know and I'll happily send it to you! And please feel free to pass it on once you've read it (or not!).
Reminder of previous book swaps here!
