Back from a week-end camping in my friend's camper van..
I haven't taken many photos this week so I will be back next Sunday with photos of my week!

My week #37

It's been a bit of a funny week, Y's first proper week (well, 3 mornings..) at nursery, I haven't quite found my marks yet. It's been cold and miserable, we seemed to have stayed in a lot this week..

Colourscape - an enormous inflatable structure with maze like chambers in different colours, so much fun! / M's been stealing my Japanese drawing books and drawing, drawing, drawing.. / Hello cat! - on a wet walk back from school / making slow progress on my cross stitch project / nice reading with a nice cup of tea - I LOVE Come home magazine, it's so inspiring, with all those homes so full of character and so cosy, I want one! / choosing fabrics for my first order - 2 pocket quilts to make..

My week #36

Embarking on a mad cross stitch project / hot chocolate season is officially open! / playing zoo / a slightly weird but great fun night barn dancing / a pile of lovely magazines, books and stationery all the way from Japan - thank you A, it's like Christmas today! - and my new diary

More stock building

With Y happily settled at school (he's only on his second day but so far so good!), I'm having to settle into a new morning routine myself and I'm hoping to free at least one morning (out of 3) for sewing.. Christmas is just round the corner (chocolates have already started appearing in the shops!) and so is the school Christmas fair - plus I have received a couple of orders (my first!!) from friends so I need to get sewing!!

Another stack of tissue cases for the fair..

And what better container for them than my new M&S tin? I love it!

First day of nursery school for my little Y.. With a cute little bag from the blue school..

Cross stitching..

It must be about 20 years since I've done any cross stitch! And then the other day I was aimlessly browsing Etsy and happened to see some really sweet cross stitch patterns. I had everything I needed so here we are.. I don't enjoy this as much as I do sewing but then it's something to do while watching TV - soon to be replaced by crochet I'm sure, once I get into it!

Coming soon.. some penguins for a penguin obsessed little Y.

My week #35

Dreaming of new plates and bowls in Anthropologie (this has got to be one of my favourite shops to browse! - I love those grey plates!) / a walk around the Tower of London and Tower Bridge and it seems that after invading Le Pont des Arts "love padlocks" are coming to London! / a beautifully wrapped little package from Betsy - merci encore! / a very foggy morning walk to school / making the most of the time I have left with little Y before he starts nursery next week, with a trip to the Natural History Museum / Regent's Park: smelling roses, cool deckchairs and the BT tower

Book swap

"A boat washes up on the shore of a remote lighthouse keeper's island. It holds a dead man and a crying baby. The only two islanders, Tom and his wife Izzy, are about to make a devastating decision.

They break the rules and follow their hearts. What happens next will break yours."

At a loss as to which book to buy to take on holiday, I chose this one purely based on Amazon customer reviews and it turned out to be one of my favourite summer reads - totally compelling and totally heartbreaking..

If you think you'd like to read it, let me know and I'll happily send it to you! And please feel free to pass it on once you've read it (or not!).

Reminder of previous book swaps here!
