Coup de coeur Monday #8 - Come Home magazine

Initially discovered on Happy Home (have a browse, this is a gorgeous little online shop with beautiful things for the home), I fell in love with this Japanese magazine.
My friend A just brought me 2 issues back from Japan and they're absolutely gorgeous!

Come Home is full of beautiful interiors from Japan. I love the way everything is always so well displayed with an extraordinary attention to detail. I think the Japanese are so good at making things look effortlessly organised and pretty. I love the linen, the wood, the French inspiration, the glass jars, the recycled furniture..

Have a look for yourself (it was hard to only choose a few pages to photograph!):

 And swoooon..

Coup de coeur Monday #7 - My new music box!!

I don't know which brand it is, I found it in a very nice wooden toy shop in Amsterdam this (child free - yippeeee!!) week-end.

WARNING: only watch if you have a minute of your time to waste! Or would like to hear Y breathing/chatting/biting into the sofa.
Sorry, haven't worked out how to turn the video around..

Isn't it so beautiful? I LOVE that music..
I don't want to put it up in the kids bedroom, I want it in mine!

Coup de coeur Monday #6 - Orla Kiely

If you live in the UK, you must have seen this Orla Kiely Stem print before, right? It comes in mugs, tea towels, cushions, notebooks, lampshades, kitchenware, handbags, even a radio and lots more.. I love that print! I remember fervently bidding on ebay for a couple of chairs covered in that fabric and being soooo disappointed when I didn't get them.
But I got a nice sideboard with Stem wallpaper at the back a few months later.. Good things always come to those who wait..

Patterns and colours are very 60's-70's - which I love! - this is my dream sofa!

Some more pics just to please the eye..

Love the cars print too! You've probably seen it here on my pennant for the Olympics and here on the kids Christmas stockings.

Orla Kiely recently created 2 childrens books too, that I bought for Y's birthday (and a little bit for myself too - I am forever buying kids books) and they're absolutely gorgeous with a very nice retro feel. There's a numbers one and a colours one.

Coup de coeur Monday #5 - Helen Dardik

Love Helen Dardik's prints. Happy illustrations, bright colours and some kind of retro feel that reminds me of old reading/school books..

Have a look in her etsy shop!

Coup de coeur Monday #4 - Fabric clouds

Fabric clouds have been on my (long) "Things I might make one day" list since I saw some in a Paris shop.. I got as far as tracing a wonky cloud on a piece of fabric one day.. But I'm sure that if I ever get round to making one, it'll never look as good as those..

From The butter flying, so sweet for a baby or kid's bedroom. The rain drops come in lots of different colours.

From , in a wide range of gorgeous fabrics.

And my favourite from Blue Monday, so girly and cute, just look at the shoes!!

I guess clouds would sit better in a girls bedroom anyway, but I could always make them as presents.. To be continued.. One day.. Maybe..

Coup de coeur Monday #3 - My name is Simone

I LOVE LOVE LOVE those funky and colourful dolls by My name is Simone. From left to right, Jean-Louis (my favourite), Rosalie, Suzanne and Simon.

They would brighten up any room! I'd love one for the kids bedroom. Or even mine!

There's cushions too (imagine, you could have his and hers..)..

and underwear/swimming bags (how cute are they!?)..

and badges..

And look at those special edition dolls, they're so funny!

All available on Mes habits chéris - a great website for finding presents (kids bedroom stuff mainly, but also some toys and games, stationery and lots of other bits and pieces..), I'll probably come to mention it again at some point!
