Welcome to the world baby George! - and another beautiful biscuit tin by M&S - you can't have too many biscuit tins right? / some presents that I would have quite liked to have kept for myself! / Paperchase love / a mini break in the country visiting friends - berry and flower picking and visiting beautiful National Trust places / a lovely surprise in my letterbox on my return - aren't those cupcake flags so pretty!? / holiday planning / summer cards

Thank you teacher

Last year I made a proper Advent calendar for M's teacher - except it had 30 pockets and a drawing or letter by each child in each pocket. It was A LOT of work and at the time I thought "It's M's first year at school.. His teacher was great - and she's getting married.. I won't be making an Advent calendar every single year for every single teacher.."
And here we are, end of Year 1, and M's teacher this year was excellent too! We always do a class collection and give the teacher some vouchers but I thought she deserved something special..
I couldn't face doing another enormous Advent calendar this time round - and didn't have the time anyway - so I took the easy option and made a smaller one with fewer pockets. I wasn't organised enough to ask the children to contribute so it's just a present from me to an amazing teacher.. Hope she likes it!

An exhibition featuring some artworks from the children at M's school and other schools too, all for a good cause / sports day in the scorching hot sun / my friend Bex is playing ultimate with Team GB at the World Games (the Olympics for the non Olympic sports) in Columbia, how amazing is that!? / a stack of Thank you cards from M's classmates I read with this year / a Thank you card from M to his teacher and a Thank you gift from me - if I manage to finish it on time!! / a country show.. sheep and newborn chicks / a trip to an enchanted forest.. canal boat ride, birds of prey and the biggest swing I've ever seen! And no sign of the royal baby yet..

I'd been coveting those Muik design products for a while (I mentioned them here), so when Merci Ginette closed her online shop came the perfect opportunity to lay my hands on them! And I'm so pleased, I love them!!
